5 Beauty Products to Beat The summer Heat

There’s nothing like a gorgeous warm summer day spent in the park or on the beach, but sweat, heat, and saltwater can really take a toll on your skin and hair. Not to mention that getting makeup to stay in place is 10x harder. But I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite summer beauty items to keep you glowing all summer long:

Urban Decay Perversion Waterproof Mascara - the classic Perversion mascara has been my long time go-to, so when they released a waterproof version this summer I was ALL about it, and I think I even like it more! One coat on curled lashes makes them thick, long, and they keep curled all day even in humid NYC heat!

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen - Sunscreen is essential for keeping your skin smooth and wrinkle-free (for everyone! Year round!) but is especially important in the summer when you’re outside in the sun more often. But the catch is always finding one that isn’t greasy, doesn’t pill, and sits well under makeup. Here to report that Supergoop’s version checks all three boxes! I wear mine both alone and under makeup and it’s invisible, easy to apply, and hasn’t made me break out!

Moroccan Oil Treatment - Speaking of things that need hydration during the summer, your hair!! If you’re hitting the beach, all that saltwater and sun really sucks the moisture from your hair, but adding two pumps of argan oil into your hair after showering will add all the hydration and vitamins your hair needs right back in, so you can have healthy mermaid hair all summer long! (Bonus, it also comes in a Light version for those of us with thin/fine hair!)

Pixi face mists in Makeup Fixing and Rose Glow - Nothing feels better than a face mist on a hot day (or at like 3pm in the office) and lately I’ve been loving Pixi’s Makeup Fixing mist in the morning to set makeup, and Rose Glow in the afternoon for a little refresh. They’re more budget friendly than most facial mists, and they smell amazing!!

Drunk Elephant Lip Balm - This little gem has been my handbag and carry-on essential. Not only is it an awesome lip balm, but it doubles as under-eye moisturizer for those days when you’ve had either too little sleep or too many drinks the night before (or both!)
