5 Minute Makeup
If only I had the time every morning to spend an hour perfectly applying makeup and styling my hair. Unfortunately, no such luxury exists, and I mainly resort to throwing my messy hair into a ponytail and applying a coat of mascara as I run out the door. However, lately I have almost perfected the art of applying just the basics in a way that makes it appear as though I put more effort than I did!
The key to this, I think, is choosing what elements of your makeup routine are most important. Do you have a really uneven skin tone? Can you not leave the house without doing your eyebrows? What's better, liner or shadow? For me, I have a fast and simple Base, Brows, Highlight, Lashes. If I have an extra minute, a little cream bronzer and a swipe of lipstick are bonus points!
Base - Chanel Les Beiges + Becca Backlight
Mixing these two together creates a light-medium coverage base with a ton of luminosity! It's the perfect everyday duo for those who don't like to wear too much, plus, if you need a little more coverage for a special event or night out, just adjust the ratio for a little more coverage!
Another Favorite: Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint
Brows - Benefit Goof Proof Pencil
Again, for those who can't leave the house without doing their brows, but don't have the time for 6 different products, a little swipe of this through the brows, and a quick comb (handy-dandily located on the other end of the wand) takes under a minute and looks great!
Highlight - Glossier Haloscope
Some might swap this one out for an eyeshadow or liner, but I like the focus of my makeup to be on my skin. Glossier's haloscope gives an all-day dew effect wherever you swipe it (I go for the cheekbones, forehead, nose, and chin)
Lashes - Milk Makeup Ubame
And of course, who could forget mascara. Milk Makeup's Ubame is great for quickly getting the length and volume you need, so no more than two coats are needed!
Bonus: Milk Makeup Bronzer + Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Very Victoria or Bond Girl
If I have an extra minute, I'll swipe a quick streak of Milk Makeup's Cream bronzer to define cheekbones, and almost always grab a tube of my favorite lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury in either the shade Very Victoria for a natural everyday look, or Bond Girl for a little punch of deep berry-pink color
