Drugstore Foundation Comparison

As most of you know, I've been in college in NYC for about two months now, and with the college life, comes the college budget! That said, I've had to trade my beloved Dr. Jart BB Cream for a more budget-friendly option. And so the search for a new drugstore foundation began! Here are the 4 that I've been testing out over the past few months:

1. Neutrogena SkinClearing Makeup (Classic Ivory 10)

I've been testing this one the longest, and I believe this is my third bottle total. Very natural medium coverage, fairly long-lasting, and it's best feature is that it's made with salicylic acid, which fights acne throughout the day! I've noticed a few more spots since I've stopped using this, and I might need to switch back!

3. CoverGirl TruBlend Foundation (Light 2)

The cheapest of the four, and not a bad pick at all! I mix it with just a bit of moisturizer for a light-medium coverage, and so it goes on a bit smoother over the skin and doesn't leave any streaks or patches. Not the best of the four, but certainly not a bad one either!

2. Revlon 24 hour Colorstay Foundation (110 Ivory)

This liquid foundation is definetly the highest-coverage foundation of the four and overall I would say it's a full coverage foundation. The name claims to wear for 24 hours, and it does last a long time, but it cakes a bit around lines and under the eyes. Great for a night out, but maybe not for an everyday foundation.

4. L'Oreal True Match (C1)

So many people rave about this foundation, and for good reason! It's main claim to fame is that it matches your skin tone flawlessly, and if you know how to pick the right one, that's absolutely true! They come in Cool, Neutral, and Warm tones (If you don't know which you are, click here)  and then have roughly 10-ish shades in each tone family. The foundation itself is very thin, but is a highly pigmented, medium coverage foundation. Absolutely on my top list!

Overall, L'Oreal True Match, and Neutrogena Skinclearing are the best two!
