What's in my Makeup Bag
Due to limited space while packing for the holiday break, I had to pair down my makeup collection to just my favorites. Today I thought I would share which one's I picked and why!
Face Stuff:
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
This gem was part of my Best Drugstore Foundation Review, and to be honest, it's one of the only foundations that is light enough for my skin tone (I swear, I'm somehow getting paler). Besides that, it has great coverage, a good consistency and it LASTS.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Captivating
This has been on my face daily for months. I just can't seem to find anything that measures up to it. The shade is beautiful on fair skin and the formula is long lasting and natural looking. These blushes are a cult item for a reason!
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
Another cult favorite. Every beauty blogger and their mother raves about this budget find. It has great coverage for both redness and those monster zits (we all get them, let's all admit it). The sponge tip is a little odd at first, but I promise you'll love it once you start using it!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette
Okay, so this one was a Christmas Present, but it's still taking over my makeup bag as my favorite product right now. The highlight shades are beautiful, and the contours are so pretty and natural. Watch out for a review/tutorial in the near future!
Benefit Rollerlash Mascara
I absolutely love this mascara! My lashes are perpetually sticking straight out, but this makes them hold a curl SO much longer. Most people either love it or hate it, but mine is a LOVE.
Eyeko Black Magic Mascara
This mascara is so good, Birchbox has a waiting list for it. (and I'm on it). seriously. I'm actually still trying to scrape the last bits from this sample size, but crossing my fingers that the list opens up soon and I can grab a full size!
STILA Stay All Day Eyeliner
At first, I wasn't a huge fan of this liner, I had heard it talked up by so many bloggers, and I was rather disappointed when it smudged right off from my lash curler. I revisited it a little while ago, and I found that if you A) Put it on over eyeshadow and B) Wait a few minutes before curling your lashes (I used to curl them RIGHT after) the liner will have time to set, and this stuff will stay dark and black all day long.
LORAC Skinny Palette in Black
I fell a little guilty putting this one, seeing as it was limited edition and is no longer available, but LORAC has so many similar palettes which are fabulous (I'm eyeing the Pro Mattes palette). LORAC shadows are buttery, pigmented, and long lasting. Some of the best I've ever used!
