Suite Life - Rosie Assoulin, Edie Parker, & Courreges
Happy Saturday, Lovelies! This week at Suite 1521 we had some amazing designers, Rosie Assoulin, Edie Parker, and Courreges! I was particularly excited about Edie Parker (owning a clutch with my name on it from them is a future goal) but they had an amazing collection of acrylic and metal clutches in every bright and sparkly combination possible!
The Fiona clutches (above) are one of my personal favorites, the white pearl and rose quartz pearl and so feminine and perfect for Spring! Then they had a set in the Jean and Flavia clutches that had a more Southwest / Aztec vibe to them. Very edgy and cool to add a little glam to a simple dress. LBD + this clutch = red carpet ready (or prom!)
On the same day as Edie, we had an apparel designer, Rosie Assoulin. Honestly, I had never heard of her before, and while her aesthetic isn't really my style, I can definitely appreciate the boho-meets-sophisticated vibe that her collections carry. I actually loved the plum jumpsuit shown in her Fall 2016 collection (upper right) and there were a few other interesting pieces that caught my eye as well!
One fun element, was the mini candy-colored gems that dotted quite a few pieces, and added a very subtle interest to an all-white outfit! (below)
Finally, on Thursday we had a new favorite of mine, Couregges. This french label has been around for quite a long time, but have just revamped their image and they're on fire! The 60's theme, with streamlined silhouettes and bold colors, make pulling off the Twiggy vibe a breeze. I loved this grid patterned mini dress (below) with orange leather from their Spring collection!
The Real Deal
The Look for Less
There won't be a Suite Life post the next two weeks, because there won't be any shows, but get ready to kick off April with Mary Katrantzou and David Koma!
xoxo,
