City Hall

No, I didn't get married, although this spot is where tons of young lovers in the city come to get married and snap a few pictures in this gorgeous little park. The fact that it had just stopped raining a few hours prior to this made the pavement of the park glitter, and the early morning light made everything in the city seem fresh and hopeful.

I finally pulled this skirt out of the back of my closet. I made it about two years ago to wear on Christmas, and this is only its second time seeing the light of day (I need to pull it out more often!) I love pairing this dramatic and slightly formal skirt with a roughed up and casual denim button down. Adding a pair of glittering earrings just pulls everything together, and the block heeled ankle boot keeps it from getting too prissy.

Chartreuse

When given the thought, most people will immediately say "I look terrible in yellow!", but I think that's simply not true. Everyone has a shade, whether you're a true bright yellow, a warm mustard, or going the extreme route and trying something like this bright chartreuse.

I bought this LOFT sweater a while ago, but I'll admit, it took me a while to get used to the vivid color and be confident wearing it. Now, it's one of my favorites! Putting this embellished collar shirt underneath adds another pop of interest, but since this one has been long out of stock, you can get a similar look with a classic white button down and a statement necklace

Off The Shoulder

New Yorkers may be cold and calloused, but our wildlife sure is friendly, or... at least our squirrels are. While shooting down in City Hall Park this morning (a very underrated NYC park) a pack of squirrels came and said hello, and I made friends with one little bushy-tailed fella in particular!

For this bright city morning I pulled out one of my favorite new pieces, this off the shoulder number from J.Crew, proving that you can still do cold-shoulder looks in 40 degree weather. With it, I paired my trusty white bandana and a few sparkly bits that came in this month's Rocksbox (use code AudraKochXOXO for a free month!) And you can't go wrong with a dark wash denim and black heeled booties (I'm surprised that neither of these have fallen to pieces yet!)

Brooklyn Haze

Good morning, lovelies! Long-time-no-see! I've been swamped between homework and work these past two weeks, but I should be back to my normal blogging schedule soon. However, I did manage to pop down to Brooklyn Heights during a crisp foggy morning, and after shooting with David, hung out for a bit and sipped coffee while reading and people-watching, with a gorgeous view of the Manhattan skyline (aka my ideal morning).

Fleur

Doesn't everyone carry around a purse full of flowers? Maybe not, it's a bit impractical, but makes for some very cute photos! I loved the way these spring blooms peeked out of my Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise. To compliment the already ultra-feminine look, I picked out this fun midi skier that I made about a year ago. Midi skirts are so pretty and fun, and fairly easy to sew if you know the basics!

Ebony & Denim

Mornin' Lovelies! Today I felt like dressing-up a pair of casual jeans with some classic black pumps. Heels are the easiest way to make any outfit a bit more chic, and if you invest in a good pair with a manageable heel height, they are so much more comfortable! I added an easy and classy jeweled button down from J.Crew, and these delicate Gorjana earrings that came in my Rocksbox!

I've had my eye on these cropped seersucker pants from J.Crew for quite a while now, so when they went on sale, I had to grab them before they sell out! They're light, comfortable, and perfect for spring and summer, especially paired with a chunky sandal and a chambray button down. But what would a preppy outfit be without a statement accessory? Of course, I had to throw on my favorite tortoiseshell necklace with a tiny bit of color to match my orange Kat Von D lipstick.

Orange // Gingham

Good Morning, Lovelies! Don't orange and navy go together beautifully? I was so excited when I found these gorgeous vivid orange Alice & Olivia wide-leg trousers on sale at Bergdorf Goodman in New York last week! I went in with my mother and grandmother just to see the store, and of course walked out with both new makeup and clothing (oops!).

Ladylike

I'm so excited to share this very pastel look with y'all today! I didn't even realize it, but I'm definitely tapping into this year's Pantone colors, with Rose Quartz hair, a Serenity blue skirt, and a Lilac Grey top! Well I snagged this skirt for crazy cheap on the clearance rack at LOFT, and I'm obsessed with how classic and feminine it is!

Culottes & Tattoos

Happy Friday lovelies! The weather has been gorgeous in the city this past week, and I was crazy excited to break out my new Zara culottes! They're so on trend for spring, and I swear, these feel like PJ's! Heeled sandals make them a little more dressed up, but they'd look so cute with flat sandals too!

Best Sandals for Spring & Summer

Spring is finally budding, and with that has come the transition from boots, pants, and dark colors, into sandals, skirts, and bright pastels! To get you excited to show some toes again, below are the best new sandals, from casual slides to dressy block heels!
