5 Trends for Fall 2017
Fall is finally upon us (even though Italy hasn't quite caught up...) and since I've been spending hours upon hours researching trends on fashion forecasting websites for my classes, I thought I would make a quick post with a few Fall/Winter trends that are predicted not only for '17, but even '18 & '19 (so you can purchase with confidence that these will be around for awhile)
1. Neck Ties
Not just for the prissy and ultra-girly anymore. Neck-ties are making a comeback and come in a wide range of fabrics from silk to velvet to grosgrain ribbon! The cheapest way to try the trend is to grab some thin ribbon or velvet from a craft store and tie it underneath a button down, or check out a few options linked below!

2. Velvet
Velvet has been a trend for a few seasons now, and it doesn't appear to be going anywhere! So suffice to say, if you want to invest in some velvet pieces, they'll be in style for a while. Try grabbing a simple velvet T-shirt with jeans, or if you're feeling more adventurous, maybe a black velvet jumpsuit for the holiday season?

3. Pleated Midi Skirts
Another feminine classic, the pleated midi is easy to wear and pairs with everything from a basic T shirt and sneakers to a silk blouse and heels. Try one in a metallic or bold color and add something fun to your winter wardrobe!

4. Ladylike Top Handle Bags
The Grace Kelly - esque bags are making a comeback, drop those long straps and tuck a ladylike handbag into the crook of your arm. And while the new versions of these bags are ultra-gorgeous, you might be able to find vintage versions of the designer bags in local vintage shops, or ebay!

5. Pajama Sets
My personal favorite, the Pajama Sets. Last year, J.Crew did a collaboration with Drake's on a series of silk PJ sets and they sold out almost instantly! It's super hard to find these matching sets right now, but I have a feeling that many more will be popping up rather quickly. If you can't find a good set, or you're not quite brave enough to rock the full look, try grabbing just a solid silk PJ top and wearing it with jeans and heels!
