Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

Morning, Lovelies! Today's post is all about a skincare product that I have relied on heavily over the past few weeks, and I can honestly say it's saved my skin! You may have noticed that I've been changing scenery quite often (flying off to Cancun, back to Texas, then moving back to New York) and all that flying and changing climates can really take a toll on your skin, especially if you already have dry skin, like mine, to begin with.

Dermalogica just released their new Phyto Replenish Oil, which works by strengthening your skins natural barrier with Camellia and Tamanu oils, hydrating with Orchid and Chia Seed oils which lock in moisture, and shielding your skin from radical damage with rice bran and rosemary extracts. These mimic essential lipids that most skin does not get enough of, and restores dehydrated and damaged skin to a luminous and glowy complexion!

My current skincare routine consisted of a cleanser, toner/exfoliator, and cream moisturizer, but my skin was still dry and acne prone. When I received this gem in the mail, I had very little experience with facial oils, and wasn't exactly sure how to use one. Luckily, Dermalogica made it super easy to know when and how to use it!

After cleansing and toning, I drop about 4-5 drops of this oil into my fingers and begin massaging it in from the center-out. There's a video tutorial by Dermalogica about facial-massaging, and while it feels a little silly the first time, it feels amazing once you get it down! I use this oil twice a day (once a day might be better for more normal-to-oily skin types) and I do the facial massage routine at nighttime.

Through flights, changing climates, hormones, and all the craziness that this past month has brought, this facial oil helped keep my skin calm, clear, and hydrated!
