8 Essentials To Always Carry During NYFW
NYFW is here again! One of the craziest and most fun weeks of the year. Because of that, its also a week that takes lots of planing from the outfits to schedule. But one thing that should never be overlooked is the contents of your purse. Stay prepared for the unexpected with these 8 NYFW essentials!
Portable iphone charger
Nothing is worse than trying to snap your ootd or starting a show, and your phone suddenly dies. The days of NYFW can be long, so a portable iphone charger that you can easily throw in your purse is a must-have.
Bandaids, Advil, Makeup Wipes
Fairly self-explanatory. You can’t enjoy the day if you have a horrible blister from your new cute shoes, a massive headache, or you accidentally swipe your cheek with lipstick you were trying to reapply. Make sure to throw these essentials in too.
Healthy Snacks
Again, the days are long, and usually the only sustenance available is water and champagne. I always carry KIND bars, bags of mixed nuts, or protein bars to snack on between shows when there isn’t enough time to go sit down at a restaurant.
Balm Dotcom
This multi-purpose balm works o lips, dry skin, blisters, and even undereyes if you’re super dehydrated! I carry the coconut version of this stuff with me everywhere! It’s a holy-grail and NYFW essential.
FOLLOW ALONG FOR NYFW
All Nighter Setting Spray
Having makeup slide off your face halfway through the day is never en vogue. To make sure that the look you worked so hard on stays fresh and flawless all day, the only stuff to use is Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray. They have classic, a pollution protection version (which is a must for NYC!) and even a mini version to keep in your handbag for a quick midday spritz!
Cute Sunglasses
The worst moment is seeing streetsyle photos someone snapped of you, and your eyes are closed / rolling / generally looking crazy. The easiest way to fix that is to throw on a chic pair of shades before walking up to the studio. Whether you’re more classic Jackie-O style, or something more adventurous, they’re definitely a must!
Mini perfume
Always a good idea to have a mini version of your favorite scent to touch up at the end of the day before gong out for dinner and drinks with your out of town friends or the after party for a show. One of my favorite perfume brands is Jo Malone, and they have two different travel sets that included mini’s of thier most popular scents! Mini umbrella
You never know what the weather will hold, so just in case of rain or snow, carry a mini umbrella that will fit easily into your bag. This one is only 6” when folded up, and is on sale for $18!
