Chartreuse

When given the thought, most people will immediately say "I look terrible in yellow!", but I think that's simply not true. Everyone has a shade, whether you're a true bright yellow, a warm mustard, or going the extreme route and trying something like this bright chartreuse.

I bought this LOFT sweater a while ago, but I'll admit, it took me a while to get used to the vivid color and be confident wearing it. Now, it's one of my favorites! Putting this embellished collar shirt underneath adds another pop of interest, but since this one has been long out of stock, you can get a similar look with a classic white button down and a statement necklace

Highs in the Hundreds

With Texas temps hitting highs in the hundreds, it's a constant battle not to wear shorts and a loose fitting tee. To get around this, I opted for a loose orange tank (which is actually a dress tucked in, but shhhhh... see it HERE) and pulled on my FAVORITE pants, a pair of black, wide-leg culottes from Zara. They feel like pajama pants, but somehow end up looking chic with a pop of color and a pair of heels.

Fringe, Stripes, & Chokers

Good Morning, Lovelies! Sorry for this post being a day late, but I'm currently in Arkansas for a wedding! (Be sure to look out for a vlog from this weekend, and pictures on Instagram!!)

Anyway, I was with my mom in White House Black Market when I spotted these 70's style striped pants on the sale rack and couldn't resist! The vertical stripes make legs look miles long (though the heels help), and I couldn't resist pairing it with my beloved Tim Ryan jacket! This jacket makes any outfit into a statement, even a plain T shirt and jeans (Which I did HERE!)

Wedding Season

With so many weddings going on this time of year, I decided to do a wedding-guest outfit post of my own! Something simple and summery that would work for an indoor or outdoor event. This orange dress is perfect because it's simple and easy but the color adds a punch! To shield from the sun, or cover shoulders in a cold indoor room, I added this neutral tribal print wrap, and topped those off with white ankle-strap heels and a complimenting pink lip with Revlon's HD Matte Lipstick in the shade Devotion

Fleur

Doesn't everyone carry around a purse full of flowers? Maybe not, it's a bit impractical, but makes for some very cute photos! I loved the way these spring blooms peeked out of my Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise. To compliment the already ultra-feminine look, I picked out this fun midi skier that I made about a year ago. Midi skirts are so pretty and fun, and fairly easy to sew if you know the basics!

Chilly

we've had a bit of a cold front in the city, and I was able to give this fur vest one last outing before spring/summer! I stuck to classic New York black, but added a little spring flair with this gorgeous orange lipstick by Kat Von D! I highly recommend these, they are amazing!

The Blues

Today I decided to pair these (amazing) J.Crew Ryder pants with a classic chambray button down, J.Crew Factory Cora tassel loafers, a Kendra Scott Rayne necklace, and Sophie Harper pave ring (both of which came in my Rocksbox! You can get a month free with my code! Read the post HERE!) But what I was MOST excited for, was to take my new Loeffler Randall Saffiano Rider bag out for it's first spin! I happened upon it while scouring a Rent The Runway sample sale, and I couldn't leave without it! It was between that and a Kate Spade dress. Believe me, the decision was almost impossible.

Ladylike

I'm so excited to share this very pastel look with y'all today! I didn't even realize it, but I'm definitely tapping into this year's Pantone colors, with Rose Quartz hair, a Serenity blue skirt, and a Lilac Grey top! Well I snagged this skirt for crazy cheap on the clearance rack at LOFT, and I'm obsessed with how classic and feminine it is!

April Showers

Good morning, Lovelies! Naturally, we're kicking off April with a few showers, and slightly colder weather, but the cold-front can't keep me down in a new pair of J.Crew Ryder pants and a cute raincoat! I went for a very navy look, with a gingham button-down and J.Crew Addie loafers to match! To break up the blue hues, I added my (beloved) Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise, (I did a What's in my Bag tour, if you're interested!) and swiped on my NARS matte lip pencil in Cruella. You can never go wrong with red lipstick and winged liner, am I right?

Bomber

This week is going to be a busy one! For those of you who don't know, I'm an intern at Suite 1521, and with added days there, so much to do for classes, and keeping  my regular blogging schedule, it's going to be hectic! Sometimes I wish I was a normal college student.... but not really.

Today I had a lot of errands to run, so I needed something comfortable and easy to move in. My trusted pixie pants and tweed sneakers were no-brainers, and I threw on this cream and grey bomber jacket from LOFT to keep me warm and add a model-off-duty style to the outfit. But of course, it would never be my style without a little extra sparkle, so in came my favorite J.Crew necklace.

Pinstripes & Tassels

Good morning, Lovelies! After a few days of freezing weather, the temperatures have become a little milder, and I was able to break out this cute army green skirt and loafer combo. I just got these tan Cora Loafers from J.Crew Factory, and they are the perfect basic flat, with just a little interest from the tassel.

With that, I also got a statement cuff bracelet that is too pretty! You really don't need any other jewelry with this cuff. It takes the cake! To pair with that, I added a simple blue pinstripe button down to match the cool tones on the cuff.
