Southern New Yorker Turns 1!

One year ago today, my very first post was published on Southern New Yorker, and the journey began. From figuring out what to write, how to manage social media, and learning what a widget even was, I have loved turning my passion for fashion and beauty into something that I could truly be proud of, and I want to thank all of you for supporting me this past year! 

On this blog-aversary I wanted to take a look back at some of my favorite, most popular, and maybe not-so-good-but-funny posts, as well as share some of my favorite blogs that have inspired me! 

First Blog Post - My Eighteenth Birthday

You have to start somewhere.... This was more of a "diary entry" style post which highlighted some of my favorite things from my eighteenth birthday. Please don't judge the poor photo and writing quality, I've come a long way. (and I just turned 19 on Saturday! That post is coming, don't worry)

Most Popular Post - Bottle Blonde 101

One of my first few posts still brings in about 25% of traffic to SNY! I've written Best Products for Bottle Blondes and Preparing to go Platinum to compliment this one, but it's still to-date my most popular post!

Favorite Style of Post - Lookbooks

I got more serious about a YouTube channel back in October, and since then, Lookbooks have been one of my favorite things to make! I've been making one every month, and I love them!

Gal Meets Glam was one of the first blogs I ever started reading, and her style is flawless. She is definitely one of my biggest style inspirations.

Finally, my adorable roomie, Jules, who just has the cutest and quirkiest personality that shines through in her style! She has helped me so much with blogging since the start of college!
