Morning, Lovelies! I've done quite a bit of shopping lately and I thought I would give y'all a haul post today on the beauty items that have found their way into my collection lately! I'll report back most likely in my August Favorites on which ones we're outstanding, and I'm excited to try the majority of these while on vacation this week in Cancun, Mexico (don't worry, there will be one vlog at least, maybe two!) Tell me below any of these that you've tried, and your thoughts! Or If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them!
With Texas temps hitting highs in the hundreds, it's a constant battle not to wear shorts and a loose fitting tee. To get around this, I opted for a loose orange tank (which is actually a dress tucked in, but shhhhh... see it HERE) and pulled on my FAVORITE pants, a pair of black, wide-leg culottes from Zara. They feel like pajama pants, but somehow end up looking chic with a pop of color and a pair of heels.
Good morning, Lovelies! Today I thought I would break out my favorite color combo, yellow and navy! I nabbed these gorgeous J.Crew earrings a few weeks ago when someone else returned them (just my luck!) and I love how they add a fun pop of color to any outfit! This Zara dress is a bit shorter than I usually wear, but the collared top balances it out a bit, and looks so cute paired with these J.Crew Factory Addie loafers! Once again, I'm wearing the soft matte lip cream from NYX in the shade Cannes (LOVE this shade!)
Today I decided to pair these (amazing) J.Crew Ryder pants with a classic chambray button down, J.Crew Factory Cora tassel loafers, a Kendra Scott Rayne necklace, and Sophie Harper pave ring (both of which came in my Rocksbox! You can get a month free with my code! Read the post HERE!) But what I was MOST excited for, was to take my new Loeffler Randall Saffiano Rider bag out for it's first spin! I happened upon it while scouring a Rent The Runway sample sale, and I couldn't leave without it! It was between that and a Kate Spade dress. Believe me, the decision was almost impossible.
I'm so excited to share this very pastel look with y'all today! I didn't even realize it, but I'm definitely tapping into this year's Pantone colors, with Rose Quartz hair, a Serenity blue skirt, and a Lilac Grey top! Well I snagged this skirt for crazy cheap on the clearance rack at LOFT, and I'm obsessed with how classic and feminine it is!
I was ecstatic when I opened this Kate Spade Cedar Street Maise on Christmas morning this year, and ever since then, it has become the perfect bag for everyday and for taking to my internship! Today, I thought I would give a little peek inside and tell y'all what's hiding in this little red gem. Watch the video for a full, unedited version (complete with random papers, metrocards, and way too many lip products) or just keep scrolling for my edited version!
This week is going to be a busy one! For those of you who don't know, I'm an intern at Suite 1521, and with added days there, so much to do for classes, and keeping my regular blogging schedule, it's going to be hectic! Sometimes I wish I was a normal college student.... but not really.
Today I had a lot of errands to run, so I needed something comfortable and easy to move in. My trusted pixie pants and tweed sneakers were no-brainers, and I threw on this cream and grey bomber jacket from LOFT to keep me warm and add a model-off-duty style to the outfit. But of course, it would never be my style without a little extra sparkle, so in came my favorite J.Crew necklace.
One year ago today, my very first post was published on Southern New Yorker, and the journey began. From figuring out what to write, how to manage social media, and learning what a widget even was, I have loved turning my passion for fashion and beauty into something that I could truly be proud of, and I want to thank all of you for supporting me this past year!
On this blog-aversary I wanted to take a look back at some of my favorite, most popular, and maybe not-so-good-but-funny posts, as well as share some of my favorite blogs that have inspired me!
Brooklyn! The roomies and I took a trip down to Williamsburg to do some vintage shopping and explore a different part of the city. Grand and Bedford St both have some cool stores If you ever visit, and Antionette is a definite favorite.
For today, I decided to channel a more "downtown" vibe with a leather mini-skirt, oversized knit sweater, heeled booties, metal ponytail holder, and a metal collar necklace. I like how the bulkiness of the sweater counters the short skirt and the mustard yellow color looked so cool against this grey wall we found.
