I've been in my adorable little Brooklyn studio for about 4 months now, and it is honestly my favorite place I've ever lived. Yes, its pretty small. Yes, my gas oven takes at least 6 tries to turn on. But I love having this little, colorful, shoebox in the greatest city on earth that's all my own.
But a studio? Wouldn't I get lonely?? Actually, not really. I've lived with a ton of roommates, and the vast majority of them are still my close friends, but when I came back from Italy, I really wanted to live alone. I'm an introvert, so I love spending time by myself, and since I'm constantly busy, I knew I wouldn't get lonely by myself!
I put off doing an apartment tour since I never felt like it was completely 'finished', but lets be real, it will never be finished, I'll always keep adding, swapping, taking away stuff, but for now, here's a little tour of my Brooklyn Studio!
I know so many girls who have this bed frame, but it's just so cute, I had to hop on the bandwagon! And if it wasn't already girly enough, I added blush pink sheets and a duvet covered in cartoon cats! (yes, I've accepted that I am a crazy cat lady) Plus, this serving tray matches perfectly, (and means I can eat in bed!)
And one of my favorite decor items is this wood board with a drawing of Texas that I found at a Homegoods in Houston! Because even in NYC, you have to remember where you come from!
Besides cats, two things I love are shoes and books, so naturally I got a huge bookshelf to hold both of these things, and I love how it turned out to basically be a giant piece of decor!
Let's be real, NYC bathrooms are TINY, but half the reason I chose this apartment is because it has a MASSIVE bathtub, and bubble baths are my happy place. I also had to buy this adorable flamingo shower curtain (fairly certain it's a children's shower curtain, but who cares!)
And quick shout to the shampoo and conditioner I've been using for almost 4 months! I got hooked on Love Beauty & Planet's Lavender collection, and now I'm obsessed with thier Coconut & Mimosa line! I haven't used anything else in months, and that's BIG! (plus, they're an eco-friendly company! Win-win!)
I love to cook, so having a decent sized kitchen was important to me. And I decided to make a little "breakfast cart" with this cart which holds my coffee maker, toaster, (and to be honest, the bottom section has all my hair tools, because there are no electrical sockets in my bathroom. Welcome to New York)
You can find the prints above my table here, and the Caffe/Gelati boards here!
Hope you enjoyed a tour of my little studio! If there are any peices I didn't link that you'd like to know about, shoot me a DM on Instagram HERE!!
