6 Small Businesses to Shop This Holiday Season
Holiday shopping is kicking into high gear, and it can be hard to know what to buy for everyone on your list! On top of that, it’s hard not to bulk-order gifts from big retailers just to make life a little easier. Don’t fret, I’ve curated a list of six small businesses with great gifts that are affordable and support independent creators and entrepreneurs!
Yui Brooklyn
This adorable Brooklyn candle shop has the most creative shapes and colors, and are relatively inexpensive for custom candles!
You can also pick your own scent to add, and she has great gift sets! I’m obsessed with the Shell Set, and Female Silhouette candles.
Uncommon Goods
Uncommon Goods is a site that sells products from tons of independent creators and artists, and it’s a great place to browse for unique gifts! They have lots of curated sections for the people in your life or thier interests, and you’re sure to find something special and memorable.
Some of my favorites are these etched-map highball glasses, custom recipe cutting board, and this create your own reel viewer!
Cute Salute
Check out this shop for adorable tees, pullovers, mugs, cards, and prints! This Rhode Island based artist has tons of whimsical designs that are sure to bring a smile to the recipient.
Marah-Cotta Clay Co.
This Austin, Texas based jewelry designer drops a new collection of colorful clay earrings every other Friday, and they make a beautiful unique gift for any gal you’re shopping for!
You can follow the shop’s Instagram account here to keep up with when the next drop goes live!
Local Eclectic
This site is a female-owned and operated collective for hundreds of independent jewelry designers. Price points are very accessible, and you can shop both fine jewelry and fashion.
I love the pearl zodiac necklace for the astrology girl in your life, and the sapphire marquise ring for the Princess Di lover!
The Strand
This independent bookstore is a New York landmark, and has been on the same Broadway street corner for almost 100 years! For the book lover in your life, skip the Amazon purchase and order from this family-owned store!
Are there any other small businesses that should be on this list? Leave them in the comments below!
